How long do I have to decide if Id like to continue receiving meals?

After signing up and submitting your first order, we will email you the deadlines to remember. To give you control over the program and allow you to try the food before week 2 is shipped, we extend the skip deadline until midnight, but only for the second week of meals.

You can always check your weekly deadlines in your dashboard, where you'll also find a countdown to remind you when any changes need to be submitted. If you need assistance with skipping a week, please contact our Customer Service team at customerservice@bistromd.com or call 866-401-3438. We'll be happy to assist you!

How long can I store the meals in my freezer?

Our meals have a long shelf life because they are quickly flash-frozen after preparation. A 'Best By' date is also stamped on the clear film that tightly seals each meal.

Whats your return policy? Can I exchange food items?

We have confidence in our chef's ability to create tasty and healthy meals for our members, but we understand that everyone has different preferences. If there are any issues with shipping or packaging, we are happy to help credit your account. However, due to the nature of delivery, we cannot resend single meals or issue refunds or exchanges based on taste.
For the safety of all our customers, once the meals have left our kitchen, we do not accept them back in compliance with FDA guidelines under any circumstance.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to the continental US (we dont currently deliver to HI or AK). From the time FedEx picks up your order, it can take up to 6 business days to arrive based on the ground delivery time from our fulfillment center.

How much does shipping cost?

Our standard shipping rate is $19.95.

Typically your order will take a few days after the customization deadline to show up at your doorstep. Once we pass your box off to FedEx, you will receive an email with tracking information.

Why cant I get my meals delivered on a certain day of the week?

We are always working to better the overall experience for our members, but currently to insure the most consistent meal preparation and delivery, we are constrained to a strict schedule.

We hope to update this in the future, but until we can guarantee consistency, we will be sticking to a proven method of delivery.

Who will be delivering my meals?

FedEx handles all of our deliveries and you will receive an email confirmation once your order has shipped. You can also receive updates about your delivery if you are excited as we are about getting those meals to your door!

What time of day will my meals arrive?

The time of day for delivery may vary depending on the day and your location. To keep you best informed on your delivery, we provide text and call updates through FedEx.

Can I have my meals sent to a new address when Im traveling?

Yes, our customer service team is happy to assist you in setting up a temporary shipping address for the duration of your travels! To best assist you, please let us know at least one week in advance of your travel dates to ensure we have enough time to update the shipping information with FedEx.

How do I change my shipping address?

Please contact our customer service team to change your shipping address. Also, please allow 1-2 business days for the changes to be reflected on your account.

How can I track my order?

You should receive a tracking number for your order via email once it ships, typically within 2-3 days. Orders are typically picked up by FedEx Monday through Thursday and delivered Wednesday through Saturday each week.

How to handle Dry Ice

Handling dry ice safely is crucial since it is extremely cold and hovers around -109.3°F. Here are some recommendations:

-To safely dispose of dry ice, remove the entrées from the cooler and leave any remaining dry ice inside the cooler. With the box flaps left loosely opened, allow the dry ice to sublimate in a well-ventilated, safe area away from children or pets.

-Handle dry ice carefully and wear protective clothing/gloves to prevent freezer burn.

-Never dispose of dry ice in a sink, drain, toilet, or garbage can, as doing so can cause severe damage to pipes and surfaces.

-Never store dry ice in a tightly sealed container, such as a plastic or glass bottle, or any container with a screw-top lid that will not vent. Styrofoam is an appropriate storage material since it is both insulated and not airtight.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Yes! The box and meal sleeves can be recycled with other paper products. Once the dry ice has evaporated, the bags and plastic trays can be recycled with other clean plastics. The large insulation can be recycled anywhere, but it can also be repurposed as padding for a pet's bed or insulation for a grocery cold bag.
