How does the program work?

We try to make it as simple for you as possible, so you can focus on the things that matter most to you!

First, you will select a program that fits your dietary needs, and then decide if you would like 5 or 7 days worth of food each week. For more information check out the programs and plans we offer.

We then will get to cooking your meals using fresh ingredients and then prepare them to be shipped from our kitchen direct to your door.

You wont have to worry about what to eat each week, remember to reorder new meals, or if youll lose weight. Our convenient, recurring program takes the guesswork out of healthy eating and gives you the ongoing tools and support you need to lose the weight and keep it off.

What should I know before I order?

Getting started on bistroMD is very easy, but here are 5 things to know before you start your journey.

1. Once you sign up for your plan, you’ll get a weekly delivery of nutritionally balanced meals unless you choose to skip a week or cancel your subscription.

2. We do the hard work for you. BistroMD builds a menu for you weekly and ships them all to your door every week. You have complete control though, as we welcome you to select your own meals, and set meal preferences in advance.

3. Skipping a week at any time can be done with one click of a button. Leaving for vacation or work trips? No problem!

4. You will get a custom deadline to make changes to your next week’s menu. Since we prepare meals fresh every week, we need time to get your food ready. This deadline gives us enough time to prepare your delivery and get it ready to ship for the next week.

5. Nutritional balance is a very important part of our program. To help aid you on the weight loss journey, we rebuild your menu weekly with your preferences in mind. Knowing all the nutrients you need can be hard. So, we take care of that for you, but always leave the option to fully customize your menu available to you.

 

Are all of your meals available every week?

We prepare each of our more than 150 breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals in small batches using fresh, wholesome ingredients. We follow the guiding principles that we will never make or sell meals and snacks that we wouldnt eat at our own dinner tables. Because of these high standards, we cannot guarantee that every one of our more than 150 meal options will be available every week. That said, we pride ourselves in offering the widest weekly meal variety of any weight loss meal delivery service.

What am I committing to with a subscription?

BistroMD is weight loss made easy, no contracts, no pressure, just results. The only option for our meals is through a weekly subscription that you can cancel or put on hold at any time. Once you sign up for a program, you’ll have a personal deadline to make any customizations to your menu. You’ll be charged weekly and can choose to skip a week or cancel your subscription at any time before your deadline.

Because we make meals fresh, we only allow customization for meals one week in advance due to the availability of fresh ingredients. We have over 150 meals to pick from, but due to the fact we use fresh ingredients, some meals may not be available on a given week if we are unable to find ingredients we find acceptable.

 

How does the order and shipping process work?

Once you have selected a plan and placed your order, you’ll be charged in our system. We start preparing meals to be shipped out after the deadline shown on your dashboard.

All our meals are prepared fresh with wholesome ingredients and then flash frozen and kept cold thanks to our recyclable packaging and dry ice. We pack enough dry ice to keep your meals frozen throughout the delivery, but in the rare event your meals arrive thawed, our customer service team is prepared and ready to help immediately.

 

How do I order a bistroMD plan?

Getting started is simple:

  1. If you are ready to order click here, otherwise you can learn more about the different programs we offer on our programs page.
  2. Select a program that fits your dietary needs, and then pick a plan for how many meals you receive each week.
  3. Click order now and for new members, create your profile and continue, or if you have previously ordered, reenter your email as a returning customer.
  4. Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.
  5. At this point, you are set up! If you would like to customize your weekly menu.

Don’t worry, you’re not locked into any of the details you choose when signing up. Your menu is automatically built for you each week and we make it easy to skip weeks before your weekly deadline or cancel if you need to. Do you offer a trial?

Because bistroMD is a subscription service that delivers a full menu weekly, we do not offer any trials. We do however allow you skip weeks or cancel your subscription. When you first sign up for the bistroMD program, we will send you an email confirmation that has information about your delivery, as well as our company deadlines for making changes to your weekly orders.

Do I have to order every week?

BistroMD is an automatic subscription service, so we will build you a diverse menu full of flavor and nutritionally balanced meals every week for you. We do the hard work for you but leave full control of your subscription in your hands. If at any time you don’t want to receive meals, you can skip a week. We also allow you to customize your menu weekly before the deadlines.

Do you change the meals on your menu?

We are constantly experimenting with new meals and flavors! We rigorously test meals to make sure they maintain flavor and consistency through our flash-freezing process, and sometimes ingredients don’t work out how we’d like them to. Because of our high standards, some meals may rotate off the menu from time to time until we feel confident bringing them back on. We are committed however to keeping a large selection of meals always available, and always looking for new and exciting dishes to add to our program.

What will come in my first delivery?

Alongside the meals and snacks you ordered, you will find your weekly menu and our welcome kit. The welcome kit contains essential information for a successful start to your program. Your meals will also be kept cold with dry ice and environmentally friendly insulation.

How long do I have to decide if Id like to continue receiving meals?

After signing up and submitting your first order, we will email you the deadlines to remember. To give you control over the program and allow you to try the food before week 2 is shipped, we extend the skip deadline until midnight, but only for the second week of meals.

 

You can always check your weekly deadlines in your dashboard, where you'll also find a countdown to remind you when any changes need to be submitted.
